We have been a licensed construction company since 1998. Just Build It, LLC was established in 2004 and offers a wide range of construction services, including project management, new home construction, building repairs and renovations for residential and commercial clients.
Michael is a licensed contractor with 16 years of experience, while Frances has 15 years of experience as a project manager for a Fortune 500 corporation.

We acquired a contract with the City of Tampa but faced the problem most small businesses face of meeting payroll, purchasing materials and managing operational cost, with limits placed on cash flow. Most city, state or federal contracts are paid within 30 to 45 days after invoicing. It is a major task for a small business to operate with cash flow timeframe restrictions.

Ed Johnson, the Mayor’s Liaison for Community Development in East Tampa, directed us to Tampa Bay BBIC to inquire about a new program specifically designed for minority small businesses.

We found the members of Tampa Bay BBIC to be very professional, knowledgeable, respectful and committed to assist small businesses development with their financial and networking resources. The previous accounts receivable programs we saw offered similar services but the interest rates and fees consumed all profits. Tampa Bay BBIC’s program offers rates and fees that made it feasible for us to participate.

With some of the day-to-day financial pressures eased, we are able to devote more time looking for new business opportunities.
