Accelerated Waste Solutions is a niche waste and recycling firm based in Tampa, and started in 2008. AWS specializes in apartment doorstep trash pickup, and is the home of the famous, JUNK SHOT App, the U.S.A.’s first and only junk removal app. JUNK SHOT allows smartphone users to take a shot/picture of their junk, and Junk Shot sends the user a price quote and pickup time.

AWS discovered the Tampa Bay BBIC through our relationship with the University of South Florida’s Small Business Development Council. As a young business in 2011, we needed capital to satisfy a large contract we had recently attained. Our youth in business was a huge obstacle to gaining funding. Luckily, the Tampa Bay BBIC saw our industriousness, beyond our youth and gave us our first small business loan for $30,000. That capital satisfied our equipment needs, supplied cash flow into our operations and was a key factor in our initial success. Our services now span six states and we are still growing. We have since satisfied that loan and continue to benefit from not only Tampa Bay BBIC’s financial services, but the financial leadership as well. We look forward to continued guidance as we expand our brand to national franchising within the next few years.
